Robert’s VAT career started in 1993, when he joined HM Customs and Excise (now HM Revenue and Customs) as a local VAT inspector. He went on to work as a specialist investigator with the National Investigation Service, investigating criminal cases concerning VAT and Customs duties. Since 1999, Robert has worked as a VAT consultant with two top 10 accountancy firms and, most recently, headed up the VAT team at a top 20 firm. He has lectured on VAT for many years and has written extensively on the subject. He has a wealth of experience advising clients on a wide range of VAT issue.
