IFRS 10 and IFRS 12 have now been effective for a number of years and together with IFRS 3 they provide the requirements for identifying a subsidiary, conducting the purchase price allocation exercise on acquisition, calculating goodwill, accounting for step acquisitions and changes in ownership in addition to the disclosure requirements.

This course will explore the detailed requirements of these three standards through the use of company financial statements, illustrations and exercises. It also provides an overview of any technical developments or proposals in this area.
